Charlie Ryan - A legend
"My pappy said, 'Son, you're gonna drive me to 
drinkin' if you don't stop drivin' that Hot Rod Lincoln!"
Charlie  Ryan, writer of the hit song  The Hot Rod Lincoln,  and  Ruthie, his wife of over 60 years,  stopped by the Tin Lizzie  June 24, 1998 with his famous car.   Charlie first recorded the song in 1955.   It has been a hit rcord for Charlie, Johnny Bond, Commader Cody and theLost Planet Airmen,  Kenny Price, Asleep at the Wheel and was record and sung in the movie, The Beverly Hillbillies  by Jim Varney.
Charlie built the car from a 1930 Model A coupe which he mounted on a 1941 Lincoln frame. The car is powered by a   Lincoln V-12 engine, has 4/11 gears, dual exhaust,4 barrel carb and overdrive, just like the song.
